Thanks once again! Best regards, 19 November 2010 Hello Robin, Nancy and I arrived home yesterday and we are anxious to give you some feedback on our holiday in South Africa. It was absolutely wonderful in every respect. We enjoyed it immensely! The accommodations were excellent and the service outstanding. We had one minor glitch on the last day but it was resolved very neatly by Holly at the Tanda Tula lodge. The transfer company called to say that the driver would arrive at 9:45 rather than 9:15. We were anxious that the delay could result in our missing our flight from KMIA (which of course would have had serious implications for our whole trip to Ottawa). She resolved it by having Dale, the manager, drive us to the main gate to meet our driver there. We were immediately relieved, enjoyed our breakfast, and we made it to the airport in good time. For us, it was indicative of the true service focus that we encountered at each stop on our journey. May I add that we especially enjoyed our visit with you at Belgrado House. We appreciated your hospitality - indeed, we felt very much like we were visiting an old friend. In summary, we had very high expectations (in fact, we described it as "our trip of a lifetime") and it exceeded our expectations. So, thank you again for organizing it so well. We will be telling our family and friends about it (and boring them with Bob's pictures). Thank you for making our trip such a success. If there are any outstanding issues, please let me know. We want to be in your good graces for future trips to your beautiful country! Everything went off without a hitch, from beginning to end, and that seems now like a sort of miracle—just because travel is usually not without some complications. Also, please note: Lawrence and Ryan both treated us fantastically well and are assets to your company. We learned a great deal from seeing the sights with their guidance. Best regards Tracey Garner Here we are back in Oz now for some three weeks and still trying to get into gear. Judy and I have been trying to wind ourselves up for farm work but after having four weeks slacking off , it's mighty hard - oh well there's always next year. I know the rest of the team are also slowly dragging themselves back to reality. We all agree that our trip was fantastic, so much so that we are all keen to return. S A just has so much to offer and although we covered a lot, doing probably more than most tourists, we feel we have only just scratched the surface. I guess that because S A has not been on our travel radar for all of our lives and now to realise what a surprise package has been waiting in store for us, has been really stimulating. Until we return, we have our photos and memories to remind us - would you believe that between all of us, we have over a thousand photos now loaded into our computers - to say nothing of Foxy's movies - can't blame our grandies for saying "not another mountain photo Grandpa " Thanks so much for making our introduction to S A such an experience . Quite apart from the terrific Safari experience, thanks also for helping us to start to come to grips with the political and social issues that the country is wrestling with. You were right, we certainly got a mix of opinions once we got to Cape Town however while everyone had their thoughts, none had the solutions and thats what makes it so troublesome. While we were in Cape Town, Foxy heard a talkback radio programme taking calls about the social problems and the increasing crime level and the programme came out with the slogan "p for p" which stood for 'pack for Perth'. Not a bad idea - hopefully you can seriously consider it some day - we could show you and the family a great life and you know how welcome you would be . Thanks also for the Soweto tour with Lawrence and the experience of the Kliptown visit. The interaction with Bob and his people was profound - we are all still trying to express the emotions, life values and social conscience issues ( plus a hundred other feelings) that have been bowling us over ever since . The tour gave us an insight into how your values seem to be so in concert with Bob's values and perhaps why you answered many of our questions on social issues in the way you did - we salute you Brett. Thanks again for looking after us so well and particularly for bringing us into the family as you did. We set out to see S A through the eyes of S A families and that's what happened- we feel very privileged. We hope you and Leanne and the family have a great Christmas and a very happy and sucessful New Year . Please pass on our best wishes to all - we will be thinking of them.
